Removable vs non removable battery

It is good to consider each and every feature of the smartphone which you have planned to buy. HTC 1 is one of the mobile which has the permanent mobile battery which can’t be removed and there are also many new mobiles yet to release with a non-removable battery. In this article we are going to see the full pros and cons of the in build battery. Before looking the negative side, lets see the positive side. Advantages of Non-removable battery

  1. Usually most of the smart phones with inbuilt battery has external memory card slot and SIM slot. So the users didn’t want to remove the back cover every time. The time of removing the battery for switching the SIM cards is also saved.
  2. The mobile cover won’t break since its fixed with the cell phone and users won’t have to deal with it. Thus the mobile can be used for the longer period of the time.
  3. The dust won’t enter in the internal parts of the mobile since all sides are mostly sealed. So the mobile looks fresh and new.
  4. The smart phone will look more solid fit and the manufactures can make slimmer mobile phones by reducing the gaps and the slimmer phone looks more stylish.
  5. Usually the inbuilt batteries have higher lifetime than the removable batteries.

Disadvantages of Non-removable battery

  1. You can’t use a spare or a secondary battery when your primary battery loses all its juice, this is the major drawback of non removable battery.
  2. If your mobile gets struck and all your controls stops working then you can’t reset by removing the battery. Now the only option that left for is to wait until the charge gets dry up.
  3. All type of battery will be damaged when short circuit occurs and the inbuilt batteries are not the exception. Its not easy to replace the old battery with a newer one, in case the fixed built in battery fails.
  4. You may need to pay separately for the person who replaces the old battery with the new one.
  5. The smartphone company wants you to buy new cell phone once the fixed battery capacity becomes weaker.

Nowadays, almost every phone comes will the fixed battery and it seems like they are forcing the customers to adapt to the change.

UPDATE:For non removable battery phone no need to wait for battery to get dry off while hang condition reset option is their with power button. Also if the device freezes up, you can just press and hold the power button for 10-15 seconds which forces it to reboot. There is a reset button in phones which can be found on the back behind its cover or there must be a hole. There’s almost always a reset button/hole somewhere around any device that does not have a removable battery.

One more advantage:- In case if the phone gets dropped the battery doesn’t pop out. In earlier phones, even if the phone gets dropped from a height, then “mobile ek taraf, battery dusri taraf aur back cover kahin aur!” 😛
And regarding 2nd point in disadvantage, phone can be rebooted by long pressing the power button for some seconds. The phone will restart then!

Conclusion

Not only the batteries but you have to check each and every specification and feature since you are going to invest your hard earned money and also there are a lot of mobile brands to choose from. Regarding the camera, you can’t rate the quality based on the mega pixels since I have seen better camera clarity mobiles which mentioned lesser pixels than the ones which mentioned higher. So, you have to research about all the features before buying a smart phone.
